about me
I am Heather - the shepherd, shearer, dyer, spinner, weaver, knitter, and smoocher of all cuddly creatures here at Maplewood Farm. I’m an ESL teacher by day, but by night I indulge my senses in all things wooly.
On a little farm in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut, I raise sheep, angora goats, and Jersey Wooly rabbits that produce the luxurious fibers I use in my art.
I keep a rotating selection of roving, yarns, woven scarves, and locks for sale in my online shop. I have recently fallen down the rabbit hole of tapestry weaving and intend to someday spin and weave home textiles that honor and showcase the distinct personalities in my flock. I am currently weaving Wildspun Rugs that will be available for sale later this year.
The best way to stay up to date on my offerings is to follow me on Instagram.

I stumbled upon TSB when I was exploring my new neighborhood. Everyone was so friendly, and the food was delish! Will be back.
